Having a baby can be tough on anyone — especially if you are a first-time parent. Sure you are excited, but some days you may also feel a tad bit overwhelmed and wonder how such a tiny person can be so much work. Hence, we believe in finding helpful baby hacks to make your life a little easier is the key to surviving your first year of being a new parent.
1. Use a head-to-toe cleanser
This may look like it is not a big deal. But, it will save you the hassle of using separate products for hair and body. I mean, why use two products when one product can do both, right? It will also make bathtime with your baby easier and quicker, too!
2. Use a swaddle with zipper/velcro
Babies love to be swaddled! Some moms are pro at swaddling but some have a harder time getting it right. But, don't fret! Save the wrapping hassle for another time by simply getting swaddles with zipper or velcro to quickly secure your baby and get them down for nap time a lot faster.
3. Wear your baby
Ergobaby Embrace Newborn Carrier
Grab a baby carrier and wear your baby around you. It does not only promote bonding between you and your baby, but it also helps keep your hands free so you can get all the chores done while also giving your baby the attention they need.
4. Keep baby wipes everywhere
You can never have too many baby wipes! They are not just for cleaning your baby's bum but they are also good for cleaning up almost any spill or stain. You can use baby wipes to wipe away stains on your shirt or furniture. So buy some baby wipes in bulk and keep them within reach all around the house, in the car, and in handbags.
5. Trim fingernails while baby sleeps
Babies are most relaxed when they are either sleeping or feeding. Hence, use this time to trim their fingernails. We all know and understand that new moms are afraid of hurting their babies when they cut their nails. To make it easier for both of you, do it while the baby is asleep.
